It is very pleasing for me that this amazing master, whose brilliant performances in the USSR still live on memory of thousands of classical guitar admirers, opens our Hall. And I cherish my highest hopes for the future of this venture. I do not doubt that it will take a very short time to become acquainted with the Virtual Concert Hall, and on this website you will see and listen to the best pianists, violinists, violoncellists and other performers playing. But the first musician, endowing this Hall with his wonderful art and enormous prestige, will for ever remain the great Massimo Gasbarroni.
And finally I would like to say that guitar art is not just playing. For sure, it is also the popularization of the best samples of classical guitar music, the transfer of knowledge to young musicians, wide public activity, and lastly, the whole life of the artist dedicated to beauty. All above can be fully attributed to the outstanding guitar player from Italy Massimo Gasbarroni!
Vadim Chaimovich received prizes at several international music competitions, including the Schubert Competition in Dortmund (Germany), the Schlern Music Competition (Italy) and the William Kapell International Piano Competition in Maryland (USA). Most recently, he was the winner of the 2009 10th International WCH Competition in the USA.
